BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In addition to the Chief Executive Officer, BMC SELECT's board consists of six independent directors with expertise across a wide range of areas, such as building products, construction, real estate, distribution, finance and operations. They each bring valuable skills and great depth of experience to guide the company as it grows and successfully executes its long-term strategy.
Jay B. Hunt, Chairman
Mr. Hunt is a turnaround consultant based in Sacramento, CA. He is an expert at identifying core competencies and marketing leverage to reposition a company and its products and services. He has over 30 years of governance service including service as Non-Executive Chairman of DDi Corp., Inc., a leading provider of time-critical, technologically advanced electronics manufacturing services for the electronics industry.

Mr. Hunt received his BA in Political Science from Indiana University and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School. He is a member of the Connecticut and American Bar Associations. Mr. Hunt is a Director of the Indiana University Foundation and former Chair of the Ischemia Research & Education Foundation.
Peter C. Alexander, Strategy Committee Chair and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Alexander is past President and CEO of ORCO Construction Distribution, the largest independent building materials distributor in the Western United States. A business turnaround specialist, he previously served as President and CEO or COO of several other companies in the technology, retail/distribution and service industries. He has led businesses in the U.S. and over 25 countries. He has completed and integrated 41 acquisitions across the globe.

Mr. Alexander attended the University of Stockholm, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration from The Pennsylvania State University.
Marc Chasman, Director
Mr. Chasman is President of Picerne Capital West, a commercial and residential real estate investment group based in Southern California. He is a 20 year veteran of the homebuilding industry previously serving as President for the Northern California Region of Lennar Homes and earlier in his career as CFO for Lennar’s Western Region and as Treasurer for KB Homes. He has broad expertise with respect to homebuilding operations, finance and executive management and extensive real estate market experience in the Western United States.

Mr. Chasman holds a BA, Magna Cum Laude, in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA in International Business, Entrepreneurial Studies and Finance from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
Dennis Downer, Director
Mr. Downer is a 35-year veteran of the forest products industry. He is founder and chairman of Intermountain Orient, a lumber distributor in Boise, Idaho. He is also past president of the North American Wholesale Lumber Association. He is an innovator with an ability to identify opportunities – he started six companies to serve different segments of the industry; all continue as successful operations today. He is currently serving as a member of the Boards of Directors of Mountain West Bank and the Idaho Youth Ranch.
Michael A. Maidy, Compensation Committee Chair
Mr. Maidy is co-managing director and co-founder of Sherwood Partners, LLC, a financial services and crisis management consulting firm. Before founding Sherwood in 1992, he was managing partner of a national CPA firm. He is a respected authority on innovative financial services and crisis management, with more than 36 years of experience in all facets of credit, lending and finance.

Mr. Maidy has a depth of experience in a wide range of industries including technology, bio/life science, broadcasting/communications, telecommunications, apparel/textile, real estate/real estate construction, distribution, manufacturing and import/export. A graduate of the University of Southern California, Mr. Maidy is the author of numerous articles regarding commercial lending.
Paul S. Street, Director and Chief Administrative Officer
Mr. Street most recently served as Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for BMHC. Mr. Street joined BMHC in 1999 as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary and has been Chief Administrative Officer since 2001. Prior to that, he served as BMHC's outside General Counsel & Secretary while a partner of the law firm of Moffatt, Thomas, Barrett, Rock & Fields.

Mr. Street received his undergraduate degree from College of Idaho and received his law degree from the University of Washington.
Carl R. Vertuca, Jr., Audit/Finance Committee Chair
Mr. Vertuca is President of The Vertuca Group, a venture capital and real estate investment company founded in 2000. He previously served as Executive Vice President and a Director of The Dii Group, a publicly held contract manufacturing company. His expertise in executive management includes the areas of corporate development, acquisitions, finance, administration, manufacturing and engineering.

Mr. Vertuca received his Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky.
